The power breakfast will include presentations on the residential and commercial real estate markets by Gerard Mildner, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Real Estate Finance at Portland State University and Jeff Grose, MAI, Executive Managing Director with Colliers International Valuation and Advisory Services.
Mr. Mildner teaches in the area of urban economics, housing economics, public finance, cost-benefit analysis, political economy, poverty and welfare, and economic development.
Mr. Mildner's presentation will focus on the economy of Oregon and Southwest Washington and how it impacts the residential housing markets and commercial sectors. Where the economy has taken us and where we might be going in the future. How has the past recession impacted supply and demand for residential real estate and what changes in housing are likely to occur in the future. How the current economy impacts growth economics and management. Changes in governmental policies and land use regulation and how they might impact real estate values
Mr. Grose's portion of the presentation will focus on current market trends in commercial real estate as well as forecasts for value trends to watch for in 2013.
